Verdict: False
There is no evidence that the US and the UK bombed the protests. It appears that the protests happened after the two countries bombed the Houthis.
Fact Check:
The Houthis fired ballistic missiles at Israel, both of which were successfully intercepted by the Israeli military, according to the Times of Israel. The Houthis have launched missiles and drones at Israel since October 2023, the outlet reported.
Social media users are claiming to show a video of US and UK bombed Houthis supporters. One user wrote, “BREAKING: The US & UK has BOMBED the million person rally for Palestine in Yemen.”
This claim is false. There is no evidence that the US and the UK bombed Houthi supporters protesting. If they had done so, media outlets would have covered it, yet none have. (RELATED: Were All Charges Dismissed Against Andrew and Tristan Tate in November?)
Furthermore, Check Your Fact reviewed the social media account of a Houthi spokesperson. This Houthi spokesperson did not claim that the million man march was bombed by the Americans or the British.
A defense official told Check Your Fact that “we do not have any operational reporting to support this claim.” The US and the UK did bomb the Houthis on Jan. 11-Jan. 12, though the protests occurred after the bombings, according to Reuters.
