Social media users are claiming to show Monarez tweeting about childhood vaccines. One user wrote, “Trump’s new CDC director…oof.”
This claim is false. The tweet is from 2021, when Monarez was not director of the CDC. Monarez became acting CDC director on Jan. 15, 2025, according to a CDC press release.
