FACT CHECK: Grimes Didn’t Make This Post In 2025

A post shared on X claims to show a 2025 post from musician Grimes.

Verdict: False

The image is fake. It originates from a meme that spread in 2022. Grimes herself said it was fake.

Fact Check:

Social media users have been claiming that Grimes sent a post about the sexual habits of Fortune 500 CEOs. Grimes allegedly wrote that “Even if those videos were to leak, seeing a successful auto-maker or social media owner being ruthlessly destroyed shouldn’t be the end of his career and that person definitely shouldn’t be mad at his ex because his video was uploaded.”

This claim is false. No credible news outlets have reported on this claim. Check Your Fact reviewed Grimes’ X account and did not find any tweets matching the one in the X post. (RELATED: Did Trump Make An X Post With A Referral Link Providing A Discount On Tesla Purchases?)

Grimes herself responded to the post and said she did not make it by stating, “PLEASE STOP FRAMING ME I did laugh tho.”

The origin of the claim appears to be a meme/fake story from 2022, according to KnowYourMeme.
