An image shared on X claims to show Volodymyr Zelenskyy wearing a suit while meeting with World Economic Forum President Klaus Schwab.

The image is from January 2020. Zelenskyy swore not to wear a suit until the Russian invasion is over.

Fact Check:

Zelenskyy allegedly drew ire for not wearing a suit during his meeting with President Donald Trump at the Oval Office, according to BBC News. Zelenskyy said he would wear a suit after the war ended, per the outlet.

This claim is misleading. Through a reverse image search, Check Your Fact found that the image is from January 2020. It was taken before the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Zelenskyy has said he would not wear a suit until the Russian invasion of Ukraine is over, according to EuroNews. He has chosen to wear more military-style clothing since the invasion started in February 2022, per the outlet.
