A post shared on social media purports that  Marjorie Taylor Greene blamed Joe Biden for scheduling Hanukkah on the same day as Christmas.

Verdict: False

There is no evidence MTG said this.

Fact Check:

Greene was recently the target of a bomb threat that turned out to be hoax, CBS News reported. An officer who responded to the threat and a 66-year-old woman in a car crashed, resulting in the death of the latter, according to the outlet.

A post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, shared an alleged quote from Greene that blames Biden for both holidays falling on the same day. The post also features an image of Greene with a gun.

The post reads, “‘Why would Joe Biden schedule Hanukkah on the same day as Christmas? I’ll tell you why: because he hates Christians.’  MTG.”

The claim is inaccurate. There is no record of this statement on any of her social media accounts. However, Greene did share posts celebrating both Christmas and Hanukkah on her X account. (RELATED: Did MTG Accuse Republican Congress Members Of Having Similar Accusations To Matt Gaetz’s)

Both holidays did fall on the same day, but this is a very rare occurrence, according to AP News.

This is not the first time a false quote has circulated online. Check Your Fact recently debunked a claim President-elect Donald Trump said “never hurt your mother.”
