Verdict: False
The claim stems from satire.
Fact Check:
Trump has announced Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has previously stated that vaccines cause autism, as his nominee for the Department of Health and Human Services Secretary, NPR reported. Trump said Kennedy will “go wild on health” as Kennedy has wanted to change the American health system and policies for a long time, according to the outlet.
A post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, allegedly shows a screenshot of a Truth Social post about his recent meeting with Scarborough and his co-host Mika Brzezinski. The post shared an image of the alleged post.
The alleged post reads, “This morning, ‘Morning’ Joe and Mika, who owe their careers to me, went on their show and claimed to have met with me. They made it sound like we had a summit. The truth is, Joe begged to meet with me after Big Win, and when I finally agreed, he approached me like a scolding dog. He should consider himself lucky that I didn’t have him thrown out of beautiful Mar-a-Lago. Mika was charming, as usual.”
The claim is inaccurate. There is no credible news report that suggests that Trump shared this post. There is no record of the post on Trump’s Truth Social account. The post appears to stem from a satirical account.
The account shares a disclaimer in its bio that reads, “Universally-beloved meme artisan | unofficial official Firebrambassador | Fashion & Lifestyle Coach | humorous-adjacent tweets | certified Alpha.”
The “Morning Joe” hosts did meet with Trump at Mar-a-Lago recently, according to Politico. Scarborough said the meeting was “cordial” and that “many things were discussed,” the outlet reported. (RELATED: Did Donald Trump Call For Liz Cheney To Be Executed?)
This is not the first time misinformation surrounding Trump has circulated online. Check Your Fact recently debunked a claim that an image genuinely showed President Joe Biden wearing a MAGA hat while meeting with Trump.
