An image shared on X claims to show Tel Aviv, Israel after an attack.

Verdict: False

The image is from northern Israel, not Tel Aviv. It is also from 2023, not 2024.

Fact Check:

A Hezbollah rocket or missile landed in Tel Aviv, injuring at least five people, according to the Jerusalem Post. The Israel Defense Forces said that the rocket was shot down, while a police district chief said it was a direct impact from the Hezbollah munition, per the outlet.

Social media users are claiming to show Tel Aviv after an attack in November 2024. One user wrote,”Tel aviv last night…”

This claim is false. Through a reverse image search, Check Your Fact found that the image is from November 2023. The image was published by the Jerusalem Post and shows the aftermath of a rocket attack on Kiriyat Shmona.

“Car burns in Kiriyat Shmona after rockets hit the city, November 2, 2023,” reads the image description. (RELATED: Video Claims To Show Smoke Above Tel Aviv Buildings)
