FACT CHECK: Were Baby Oil Bottles Seized From Diddy’s Home Laced With GHB?
A post shared on Instagram claims thousands of baby oil bottles seized from rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs’ home were laced with GHB, according to court documents.

The claim is false. While an indictment against Combs indicates law enforcement seized baby oil from the rapper’s home, it does not state that the baby oil was laced with GHB.
Fact Check:
Five new civil lawsuits accuse Combs of committing sexual assault or rape “in separate incidents from 2000 to 2022,” according to NBC News. One of the plaintiffs alleges that Combs raped her when she was 13 years old, the outlet reported.
The Instagram post, which has received over 3,000 likes as of writing, claims thousands of baby oil bottles seized from Combs’ home were laced with GHB, according to court documents.

The claim is false. According to the U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York’s indictment against Combs, baby oil is one of multiple “supplies” used during his “Freak Off” parties. The same indictment indicates that “law enforcement seized various Freak Off supplies, including narcotics and more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant.” The document does not mention anything about the seized bottles of baby oil containing GHB, however.
Similarly, a complaint filed against Combs alleges that the rapper used GHB during his parties by either “secretly [using] the drug in an alcoholic beverage” or by “dousing victims in lotions or similar body oils, also laced with GHB, so that the drug would be absorbed through the victim’s skin and make it easier to assault him or her.” Newsweek reported on the October 14 complaint, repeating the allegations that Combs laced baby oil with GHB during his parties. In addition, Lead Stories debunked the claim, referencing both the indictment and the complaint filed against Combs.
Combs’ lawyer Marc Agnifilo claimed the rapper bought the baby oil in bulk at Costco, but a spokesperson for Costco stated that the wholesale giant does not carry baby oil at any of its U.S. locations, the New York Post reported, citing TMZ.
