An image shared on X claims former President Donald Trump started wearing a bandage on his ear again.

Verdict: False

The image was taken on July 23, 10 days after Trump was shot in the ear. It was not taken recently.

Fact Check:

Social media users are claiming that Trump appeared on Fox with a bandage on his year in September 2024. One user wrote, “trump shows up today on Fox with a BANDAGE on his ear!” (RELATED: Viral X Image Falsely Claims Trump Rally Shooter Was Transgender)

This claim is false. Through a reverse image search, Check Your Fact found that the image is from a July 23 Fox News appearance, more than a month before September.

During this appearance, Trump talked with Fox News host Jesse Watters about taking on the drug cartels. His vice presidential nominee, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, also appeared.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed in late July that Trump had been shot by a bullet. Various social media users had earlier claimed that Trump had not been struck by the bullet, according to Check Your Fact.
