FACT CHECK: Were Three Of The Jurors In Trump’s Trial Recently Arrested?
A post shared on social media purports three of the jurors in former President Donald Trump’s recent criminal trial in New York were arrested.
Verdict: False
The claim stems from a satirical website.
Fact Check:
Trump is expected to appeal once the case in which he was recently convicted of 34 felony charges is complete, according to ABC News. Trump is scheduled to be sentenced in July, the outlet reported.
A post shared on Facebook alleges that three of the jurors were arrested after they convicted Trump in New York.
The post reads, “Tues. 4 June 2024: White Hats Arrest 3 of 12 Deep State Jurors Who Unlawfully Found President Trump Guilty. Trump Verdict Will Not Stand, Najadi.”
The claim is inaccurate. The claims stem from a satirical news outlet called Real Raw News. The article says that “white hats” have recently arrested three people who were part of the jury that convicted Trump.
The website features a disclaimer that identifies the site as parody. The disclaimer reads, “Information on this website is for informational and educational and entertainment purposes.
