FACT CHECK: Does This Photo Show Trump’s Recent Rally In The Bronx?
A post shared on social media purportedly shows an image of a crowd at a rally in New York City for former President Donald Trump.
Verdict: False
The claim is inaccurate. The photo is from the Philippines when the Pope visited.
Fact Check:
Jury deliberation has begun in Trump’s New York City trial, CNN reported. The 12 person jury will determine if Trump is guilty of 34 felony charges of falsifying business records, which Trump denies.
A post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, allegedly shows a photo of a massive crowd at a recent Trump rally. The photo is an aerial shot of a large crowd.
The caption reads, “This was the Trump rally today in the Bronx, NY!!! WOW!!! AOC said Minister would show up and the crowd went on as far as the eye could see!!! There were literally people lining the streets for MILES!!!”
The claim is inaccurate. The photo dates back 2015 when Pope Francis visited the Philippines.
The Guardian reported on the event at the time and shared a photo of the crowd from a different angle.
